1,000 Events—50,000 Community Members
Helping students improve their reading requires a community-wide effort, and Three Rivers Education Foundation is leading that effort in the communities we serve. Through parent workshops on encouraging and teaching reading at home, fun reading events for children, free books for children and families, and community and school events, we help build communities that support reading.
More than 50,000 parents and children have participated in more than 1,000 community literacy events.
Parent WorkshopsThe Foundation has provided nearly 500 workshops for parents on reading skills children need and teaching strategies and reading activities they can do at home. More than 17,000 parents attended these workshops. At most workshops, parents also received resources, instructional supplies, and books. |
